Postnatal Fitness Classes
Mums who train together, laugh together, grow together
Having a baby is like going into battle. We have to be focused, it takes a toll on our mental and physical strength and without doubt, there will be blood. Our body goes through a lot and is totally different when we come out the other side. Our body has served us well but it can take a lot of getting used to; we may not be able to do the things we once so easily could, it’ll look different and it’ll feel different. And that’s amazing. These classes are all about getting to know our new body, feeling for our limits, challenging it and regrouping our mind and body. They’re also about making friends, sharing stories and reclaiming a bit more ‘you’.

This is a 6 week programme. Please see the schedule for latest term dates. Drop-ins are welcome, but it’s advised to do the whole programme for the best results.
Starts 10th January 2025
Are you ready to feel stronger, more confident, and fully prepared to handle the physical demands of mum life? Mum Strong is a 6-week outdoor strength training program designed by a mum, for mums. Using dumbbells, kettlebells, and benches, this program helps you build the strength, stamina, and grace you need to lift, carry, and keep up with your little ones—whether they’re wriggling in your arms, learning to crawl, or running full speed ahead.
This isn’t just a workout—it’s a transformative journey to becoming the strong, capable mum you deserve to feel like.
Who It’s Suited For
Mum Strong is perfect for mums who feel they’ve recovered from the early postnatal phase and are ready to level up their fitness. Whether your baby is starting to crawl, walk, or run, this program helps you develop the strength to move with them confidently—and safely.
Not necessarily a “buggy fitness” class, but you’re welcome to bring your buggy (and baby!) along. If they need rocking, walking, or holding, we can always make it work—because mum life doesn’t stop for a workout.
What to Expect
Each 60-minute session is held outdoors and tailored to the needs of busy mums. You’ll work through a combination of strength-based exercises that improve your functional fitness, from carrying a baby in one arm to lugging a buggy and a bag up the stairs. With a focus on form, strength, and progression, you’ll leave every session feeling stronger and more in control.
Expect exercises like kettlebell deadlifts, bench presses, and squats—movements that strengthen your back, shoulders, and legs, while also improving posture and movement patterns. And if your baby needs a cuddle or a stroll mid-class, that’s no problem—we’re all mums here and I’m happy to hold your baby if it’s appropriate and safe to do so!

FIT30
30 Minutes to a Stronger You
Tired of dragging through your mornings or feeling like you’re in a fitness rut? Our FIT 30 group classes are a game-changer. We’re not just sweating it out; we’re building strength, endurance, and mobility—all in a power-packed half-hour.
The focus is on:
Total-Body Strength – Circuit training naturally engages various muscle groups, allowing you to build functional strength that’s applicable not just in the gym, but in everyday life. Whether it’s carrying groceries or playing with your kids (or grandkids!), this class gets you better prepared for it all.
Endurance Boost – Consistency and variety in the circuit setup means you’ll be challenging your cardiovascular system. Over time, you’ll notice you can go longer and harder in both your workouts and your daily activities, without feeling worn out. According to research, this type of training can improve both your anaerobic and aerobic energy systems.
Mobility Matters – We often underestimate the value of being able to move freely and without discomfort. Our sessions incorporate stretching and mobility exercises that help offset the stiffness and posture issues that can come from a modern, sedentary lifestyle.
What to bring:
If you’ve got a mat, please bring that along. Otherwise, just yourself, clothes you can move easily in, and water.
When and where:
General group fitness sessions take place at Emirates Stadium every Monday and Thursday at 9am. This is term-time only and some holidays – please see the timetable for the accurate schedule.
We generally meet by one of Emirates stadium entrances. However, when you sign up for your first session, you’ll receive an invite to the FIT30 WhatsApp group where you’ll be informed of any location changes, as well as learn about opportunities to sign up for obstacle course races, runs and more (all optional!)
Best suited for:
Whether you’re a workout newbie, a busy parent, or you’re just looking to shake up your fitness routine, FIT 30 is perfect for you. We’ve got all ages and all fitness levels covered. Some participants are parents from Drayton Park School, some have children who have left home, some enjoy cold water swimming, tennis and also want something to add to their fitness regime, some are women wanting to prepare for menopause, some are dads looking for an antidote to their desk job – there’s lots of different, amazing people who attend!
